Do I need workers' comp?

Most states require it if you have W-2 employees on payroll. If you use 1099 subcontractors, in most states you can still be held liable for a sub's injury if they aren't carrying their own WC policy. Most GCs won't issue a contract to a sub without proof of WC. Tell us your payroll structure and we'll quote it correctly.

Most contractors get a quote within 2 hours. For standard GL, we can often bind coverage same day. Builder's risk for active projects is typically bound in 1–2 days.

My GC sent me a contract with an insurance schedule I don't understand.

GC contracts often require specific coverage changes — primary/non-contributory wording, additional insured status, or waiver of subrogation on your GL policy. Send us the insurance schedule and we'll tell you exactly what you need and whether your current policy already covers it.

What if I have claims history?
